Who are we?

Fencestore is a leading UK retailer of garden fencing panels, posts, gates and accessories. We retail our products through this ecommerce web site, in addition to traditional telephone and mail order means.

Fencestore is a trading division of Shedstore LLP, a debt-free leading national retailer of primarily garden buildings. Originally formed in 1997 under the name of Guardian Buildings; since changed to Shedstore LLP due to the strength of its dominant Shedstore brand, registered trademark and profile. The three founding partners continue to manage Fencestore, Shedstore and their sister company of fencing contractors. They have now served the UK fencing industry for a combined period of over 90 years.

What do we sell?

Fencestore retails a wide range of fencing panel packs, gate packs and accessories. The Fencestore web site is dedicated to the fencing sector alone, therefore as fencing specialists we intend to maintain a pure fencing focus to this venture. Our fencing panel products have two primary themes, firstly; traditional UK-manufactured fence panels like Waney-Edge, Closeboard and Palisade, and secondly; a European planed and decorative range known as Meadowbrook. We provide a clear and stress-free checkout process, because all of our fencing panel and gate packs include a free UK mainland delivery service... History

Whilst the founding partners have fencing industry experience which extends as far back as the 1970's, it is only from January 2000 that their business activities extended to the world of ecommerce. In January 2000 their first 'local' garden building brochure-based web site was launched. Within months, this had increased to offer 'national' coverage through the launch of a fully transactional web site. With the help and support of some of the garden building industry's leading manufacturers from the UK's, Europe and beyond, the company has experienced considerable growth and success year-after-year. With it's prominent, marketing-leading Shedstore brand (a registered trademark), the company extended its ecommerce activities by launching a Fencestore web site initially during 2004. This latest version of the Fencestore web site, launched in March 2009, is our most advanced yet and includes many unique features which will assist the customer to make an informed choice. For 2009

We intend to continue the process of fencing range enhancement to offer still greater choice. We also have further exciting technical developments too in the pipeline, thus watch this space for news of web site enhancements to come. We shall continue to invest in our bespoke, state-of-the-art sales and customer care system, which offers us considerable labour efficiency (and uses no paper!); the savings of which we can reflect in our low prices.
